Removable prostheses preserve healthy teeth and replace lost teeth
A prosthesis, or denture, replaces your missing teeth and the adjacent tissue. However, unlike bridges or implants, a prosthesis is removable. A complete denture is used when all of the teeth are missing and have to be replaced. If some healthy teeth are still present however, a partial denture can be used. A partial denture helps stabilize the remaining healthy teeth, preventing them from shifting their position.
